Was Trasylol used
|
In many cases the heart surgeon will make the decision whether to use an anti-bleeding drug without the patient knowing the drug is being used. A patient who has undergone heart surgery and has suffered complications or has concerns should request a copy of their medical records and operative report to find out if they were given Trasylol for bleeding. It is important to note that the hospital will charge you for copies of the medical records. In some cases this can cost more than one dollar per page. Given the large volume of most records this can often lead to a bill for many patients of more than a thousand dollars just to find out if Trasylol was used during their surgery.
However, if complications have occured, call our Law Firm and we can assist in obtaining copies of the medical records. Call us at 1-800-862-1260.
