Two people were killed and 18 were injured when a Mexican tour bus crashed Tuesday morning in Atascosa County. It is believed that the bus was traveling from the Americanos Bus Station in Downtown San Antonio, Texas to Brownsville, Texas. Unfortunetly, two individuals were killed and 18 suffered personal injuries when the Americanos Charter Bus Crash south of San Antonio, Texas. The Americanos Bus crashed on Interstate-37, near Campbellton. Tommy Cavazos, a public communications officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety, said that the Americanos tour bus rolled near the Campbellton exit off Interstate 37 at 9:45 A.M.

It was reported that two people were airlifted to Brooke Army Medical Center and two were airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio.

After the accident the Americanos Bus was on its side in the median and it was reported that several individuals were on the ground and that it appeared there were several young people, possibly spring breakers, walking around. After the accident the bus was on its side and it was smoldering.
