On Saturday night, an individual driving a Dodge Ram was drinking and driving on the road. This individual’s actions led to an accident on the Northwest side that ended in the tragic loss of a woman’s life and severely injured four individuals. This event happened at around 6 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Culebra Road and Zarzamora Street. The individual driving a Dodge Ram was heading east on Culebra when he ran a red light and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado heading south through the intersection. According to a local news report, the collision occurred in Montgomery County, TX, in the evening hours.

Evidently, when law enforcement officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Huberty’s Corvette “parked under a minivan.” The three people in the minivan at the time suffered minor injuries, and Huberty was uninjured. Huberty told police that he was on his way back from the legislative session in Austin.

One of the deputies who arrived shortly after the accident heard Huberty explain that the driver of the minivan slammed on her brakes, leaving him no time to stop. However, an unrelated witness to the accident told officers that Huberty ran a red light and that he didn’t apply the brakes before rear-ending the minivan.
