Kerrville Teen Seriously Injured in School Bus Accident While Skateboarding
A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured last week after being run over by a school bus in Kerrville, according to a report from KSAT News.¹
The Texas Department of Transportation reported that the accident happened around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, in the 400 block of North Sidney Baker Street.
Officials said the teenager was riding his skateboard eastbound on Schreiner Street when he turned onto the sidewalk along Sidney Baker Street, traveling southbound. He reportedly lost his balance, fell into the street, struck the side of the school bus, and was pulled underneath it, where he was run over by the rear tires.
The teen was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital with suspected serious injuries. Kerrville ISD confirmed that he is a student in the district. No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
