Coronavirus Challenges for Nursing Home Owners and Residents

The coronavirus pandemic has no boundaries or limits. Unfortunately, the elderly are highly susceptible to contracting the Coronavirus. And recent events across Texas have exposed dangers to the aged population who are residents at assisted living facilities and nursing homes.

As would be expected, many elderly residents already rely on oxygen systems to support their lifestyles and sustain their quality of life on a daily basis. The recovery of an elderly person versus a younger healthier individual is less likely given their age and declining health conditions.

That’s why nursing home operators and owners have a legal duty to provide reasonably safe environments free from known hazards for people in their care.
