Schlitterbahn Parent Company Fined $30,000 After Employee Death

According to a San Antonio Express-News report, Schlitterbahn’s parent company has been fined $30,000 for an OSHA violation after an employee died in July.

Michael Jaramillo, 11, died Sunday from his injuries, and another minor remained hospitalized in critical condition, according to the Altoona Police Department. Two other riders suffered minor injuries.

It’s important to follow safety protocols when operating a water park at all times.
