Another major product recall for 2022

(November 27, 2022) Texas staple grocery chain H-E-B pulls thousands of pounds of ground beef products off of their shelves for potential contaminants in the latest 2022 food product recall. San Antonio Express-News reported that 94,000 pounds of ground beef were pulled from H-E-B shelves, and full refunds were offered for Hill Country Fare and H-E-B brand beef products. With estimates of food prices up an estimated 10.5%, having contaminated products on the shelves isn’t helping the holiday cheer. Serious injuries can leave you unable to work

(August 30, 2022) The owners of a beloved San Antonio Coffee Shop on the South Side are asking for help after an auto accident left the couple hospitalized and the husband unable to work, according to Kens 5 News. Emilie Herrera posted to Instagram that the couple needed help paying for expenses after the accident since her husband, Tatu Herrera, may not be able to return to work for a month or more. He runs the day-to-day operations of The Folklore Coffee Shop, and his absence could mean trouble for the recently reopened business that had been temporarily closed due to the pandemic lockdowns in 2020. Most people know that they may be able to receive legal compensation for physical injuries and car damages after an accident. Two cars burst into flames following the accident

(August 9, 2022) Asherey Ryan, 23, and five others, including her unborn child and eleven-month-old son, were killed in a horrific accident caused by a Texas nurse in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, August 4, 2022. The nurse’s attorney claims she had suffered from severe mental health issues in the past. Authorities have not determined whether drugs or alcohol were involved.

Hazardous Materials on Interstate Highways

(August 8, 2022) A semi-trailer hauling a flammable liquid caused Interstate 10 East to close for twenty hours after an accident that resulted in the hazardous liquid being spilled in the roadway, according to San Antonio Express-News. Police did not say what caused the accident on Sunday, August 7, 2022, only that the portion of the Interstate would be closed to clean up the spill. The Interstate reopened today at 4 p.m., but the access road between Pfeil Road and FM 1518 has remained closed. No injuries have been reported from the accident.

Motorcycle fatalities on the rise in Texas

(July 28, 2022) A seventy-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle collision on the Far West Side of San Antonio on Wednesday, June 27, 2022, a little before 2:30 p.m. The seventy-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released to the public, was driving his motorcycle east on Highway 151 near the Loop 1604 intersection when the collision happened, according to the Nationwide Report. Another driver, a twenty-four-year-old man, was driving westbound on Loop 1604 and made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist, despite the cyclists having a green light. The other driver waited at the scene of the accident until EMS arrived, but the man tragically succumbed to his wounds at the scene. All eastbound lanes were shut down until past 4:30 p.m. as the officers cleared the scene. No criminal charges are pending at this time, as officials reported this as an accident.

(July 25, 2022) A Northeast side couple was indicted by a Bexar County grand jury yesterday for allowing their four children to live surrounded by trash and rodents and were charged with four counts of endangering a child. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office told San Antonio Express-News that deputies who responded to a concerned neighbor’s call thought the children inside may have been dead because of the awful smell of decomposition coming from the apartment. The children aged between two and thirteen years old.
