Drunks on the Road
Each and every year drunk drivers kill and serious injure innocent victims as they drive to and from work or are out for a walk or taking a ride.
More needs to be done to stop the drunks.
Over the last twenty years our Law Firm has worked hard to protect the rights of these innocent victims.
Our Team of Lawyers represent accident victims in cases against the drunk drivers and our Firm is also willing to sue the Bars and Night Clubs that over serve the drunks. We will go after both for our clients, if possible.
While a drunk driver should be held accountable for his or her actions or conduct, other parties may also be to blame for drunk driving accidents.
Texas law holds accountable bar owners, business owners, and others who serve or provide alcohol to visibly intoxicated people. If it is obvious that a person is intoxicated to the point that he presents a clear danger to himself and others, a duty arises to stop providing him with alcohol.
If a business continues to serve or provide alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person who later causes a traffic accident, the business may be held liable for the victim’s damages. These damages include: mental anguish, disfigurement, physical pain, loss of earning capacity, and loss of future earnings. Damages may also be awarded to cover a victim’s medical costs, including the costs associated with future care.
If you have been seriously injured or if your loved one has died as a result of a collision caused by a drunk driver, you are entitled to answers and may be entitled to compensation. For more information, call Carabin Shaw.
