Xarelto Bleeding Complications

Patients have a higher risk of bleeding when they take Xarelto along with other drugs that have increased bleeding risks. If bleeding occurs near the brain, lungs or kidneys, it can cause the organ to lose some or all of its functionality. Because Xarelto prevents clotting, the bleeding will continue until the drug is completely flushed out of the system.
